Who's Hiring College Grads in 2007?

CollegeGrad.com Launches Its Annual Top Entry Level Employers Survey

MILWAUKEE, WI--October 30, 2006--Who's hiring? As employers across the nation prepare for the college recruiting season, CollegeGrad.com, the #1 Entry Level Job Site launches its 11th annual Top Entry Level Employers Survey to answer this question for the entry level job market. CollegeGrad.com began to capture preview information in September, and formally launches the full survey today.

"We're excited to see what 2007 will hold for entry level hiring," said Brian Krueger, President of CollegeGrad.com. "We've seen steady growth for the past four years, and 2007 is already looking to be another positive growth year."

Last year's survey results represented more than 160,000 entry level jobs, and indicated an entry level hiring increase of 7.8%.

The good news continues, as preview information indicates that 2007 is going to be another great entry level hiring year. 55% of initial respondents are planning to increase their hiring in 2007. Another 35% of employers are planning to hire at the same level in 2007, many of whom already increased their hiring in 2006. Only 10% of initial respondents expect their hiring to be less in 2007.

Employers who participate in the survey provide information on how many college grads they plan to recruit, the majors they are recruiting for, and their top criteria for making their hiring decisions.

The survey has become one of the most popular features at CollegeGrad.com as current students and recent grads check out who's hiring for the upcoming year. The 2006 results are currently available at /topemployers.

The burning question remains: Who is hiring? Armed with internships and savvy career development tools, current college students and recent graduates are ready for the openings.

Employers can announce their upcoming job opportunities to the college market by visiting https://CollegeGrad.com/survey/topemployers to participate in the survey. CollegeGrad.com will release the final survey results, including a listing of the 2007 Top Entry Level Employers, in January of 2007.
