Majority of College Students Declare Internet Their Best Job Source
College Students Report Internet Remains #1 Source of Job Information.
FOSTER CITY, CA -- April 8, 2009 -- CollegeGrad.com, the #1 entry-level job site on the Web, released its survey results on what college students believe to be the best sources of entry-level job information. For the third consecutive year, a majority of respondents, 53 percent, listed the Internet as their primary source of job-related news and data.

"The Internet should be the backbone of your search process. Today's college students are a tech-savvy group, and they often know right where to go to conduct a well-informed job search. As search engines become increasingly powerful and job networking sites blossom, the Internet has become a standard method for nearly all research, particularly job-related research. "With the rise of online job boards and social media sites, interaction between college graduates and their employer of choice is unparalleled," says Ogunwole.

Although several other sources of job information were noted in the survey results, job fairs, classmates and career centers totaled less altogether than the Internet as a source. During these difficult economic times, it is clear that job seekers are attempting to use all available resources to scout for employment opportunities. Using the Internet, students have a better chance than ever to connect directly with a prospective company or hiring manager.
