We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Chemical Technician Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the preparation and characterization of coating and printing related polymeric materials products. This intern involves working under guidance of senior chemist in a laboratory environment, assist in product demo. fulfilling purchase orders, and daily lab/office maintanance. The interns will be trained by highly experienced material chemist to conduct R&D work in industrial chemical and materials labs, safely handling materials and chemicals. The intern will learn and receive valuable hand-on working experience and related education in Silicon Valley technology start-ups which will be rewarding for the future career in the industry.  

Responsibilities

  • Conduct laboratory coating and printing experiments and analyze materials properties to develop coating or ink formulations.
  • Prepare chemical formulatiosn according to instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, production processes, and safety data sheets (SDS)
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during operations.
  • Assist in warehouse activities related to inventory management and product preps and mailing for purchase.
  • Assist in daily business operations including answering phone and door.

Requirements

  • Experience in polymer solution coating and formulation is desirable.
  • Familiar with chemical laboratory or material manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Skills in materials handling and knowledge of safety protocols are required.
  • Good communication skills is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise instructions and protocols.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, as well as ability to work independently.
  • A background in chemistry, materials or related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Term 3-6 months extendable. Working hours flexable. No compensation, reasonable reimbursement subsidy may be considered.
