Hi, everyone. I'm Brian Krueger with CollegeGrad.com and this is The Job Search Minute. As you prep for your video interview, there are several things to keep in mind. Number 1: your webcam, test out your webcam in advance to make sure it is working properly. Number 2: your microphone. Make sure that your microphone is in the optimal location for picking up your voice. Reduce or eliminate all background noise. Number 3: the backdrop. Use a solid color backdrop behind you, and avoid any distractions. The best backdrop is a solid white wall. If this is not available, eliminate all clutter and keep the background simple. Plan for the setup of your video interview to make sure you convey the best image possible. This has been The Job Search Minute, for more career information please visit CollegeGrad.com.
