Transcript:

Hi, everyone. I'm Brian Krueger with CollegeGrad.com and this is The Job Search Minute. Prepare for your phone interview in advance. To prepare for an unexpected call, tape your resume to a wall where you can view it while on the phone. It will be there for any call, planned or unplanned, and will be a constant reminder for your job search. Keep all your employer research material within easy reach of your phone, and have a notepad available to take notes. If the phone interview is to occur at a set time, there are several steps you can take. Place a “do not disturb” note on your door, turn off “call waiting” on your phone, have a glass of water available, turn off your stereo, TV, and any other potential distraction. And warm up your voice while waiting for the call by singing or talking aloud. Prepare in advance for your phone interview.
