How to Prepare for a Career in Law
If you are considering a career as an attorney, be prepared for a great deal of schooling. Seven years of postsecondary education are required--a four-year college degree, followed by three years of specific legal studies in law school. Proficiency in writing, speaking, analyzing, researching, reading, and logical thinking are required for acceptance to law school. Applicants must also score well on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), which tests an applicant's aptitude to study law. Law school coursework includes:- Contracts
