How to Get Your High School Diploma Online
There are a number of things to consider when embarking on an online high school program. First, choose a program that is accredited by one of the six regional agencies that are recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). These regional accreditation agencies also grant accreditation to traditional campus-based institutions. Second, determine the cost. If you are only a few years above high school age, you may be able to enroll in a local online charter school free of cost. If this option is not available, you may be able to qualify for tuition assistance or a student loan. Remember the cost to get your high school diploma will be repaid many times over in better job opportunities and higher salaries throughout your working career. Third, make the commitment to do the work. It will require discipline and time, but when you get to the end of your online high school program you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are now a high school graduate, with all the opportunities that your new status provides.
