According to The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), 54,560 fashion marketing managers are currently employed by America's department stores. You can prepare by enrolling in online fashion marketing programs at the undergraduate or graduate degree level. Some employers prefer candidates with a master's degree in marketing, public relations, fashion advertising, or journalism. Courses in advertising, business administration, public affairs, consumer trends, or technical writing may be part of the curriculum. Fashion Marketing Salary and Career Outlook
The BLS reports that in 2008, the median annual wage for marketing managers was $108,580, with top-end salaries at or greater than $166,000. The BLS predicts that positions in marketing, promotions, public relations, and sales management are expected to rise by 13 percent during the decade ending in 2018.
