Your role in helping us shape the future:

The USNWR Hospital Data Insights (HDI) suite of products is a web based analytics platform that provides subscribers instant access to a rich archive of U.S. News Best Hospitals, Best Regional Hospitals, Best Children's Hospitals rankings data. This B2B offering includes custom visualizations and data sets that are exportable for use in internal analyses and strategic planning. Our subscribers range from small hospitals to large healthcare networks with users working in Quality Assurance, Marketing, and Strategy.

The Hospital Data Insights – Account Executive is a unique position at U.S. News that will assist our Hospital Data Insights team in driving new business. This position will directly contribute to the success of HDI by leading sales initiatives. The Account Executive will be responsible for acquiring new business through tailored product demonstrations, developing business strategies, and many other tasks deemed integral to the growth of the team.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in B2B sales, client relations, training and development, as well as exposure to working with data and product teams. The ideal candidate is self-motivating with an entrepreneurial attitude.

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Achieve Domain Knowledge: Understand both the HDI suite of products, the U.S. News' Best Hospitals’ data sets and methodologies at a deep, deep level.

  • Drive New Business: Generate quality leads and research the marketplace for continued sources of revenue. Exceed aggressive sales targets.

  • Outreach: Build brand awareness through targeted outreach, tailored product demonstrations, and specific marketing campaigns.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain rapport with new clients through exceptional service and attending external events/conferences.

  • Business Solutions: Work with the HDI team to build this business. Work with managers to translate feedback from potential clients into business opportunities and product enhancements.

 
Position Requirements

You should definitely have:

  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • 3-4 years of business development and client outreach experience.

  • Experience with building out and executing marketing campaigns.

  • A proven ability to exceed aggressive sales targets.

  • Is detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.

  • Can work collaboratively with a team or independently, as needed.

  • A rich sense of client service and support.

  • Strong communication skills and collaboration skills.

  • The ability to travel to industry events and represent U.S. News.

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience working with or selling SaaS products or subscription based platform services.

  • Background in learning and development along with experience completing tailored trainings or demonstrations of a product for educational or business purposes.

  • Experience absorbing rich data driven methodologies, working through complex demonstrations and handling analytical questions.

  • Experience navigating the healthcare industry - calling on hospitals working with hospital executives or leaders.

  • Experience collaborating with product, data analysis and technology teams.

  • In New York City, the anticipated base salary for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
